~ Meet THANA ~

Thana was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. She graduated Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from well-known Assumption University. She pursued her career in Finance industry and lectured in a few Universities. Leaving Thailand to Canada was not easy for her to be a full-time mom of 3 beautiful children. As a working woman, she always wants to work while taking care of her family. She has experienced working both in the office as a project coordinator and as an accredited Language Interpreter (Thai and Laotian). Yet she looks for another career for the long-run.

Since a young age, Thana had a passion about massage when she stepped on her parents’ back. Before coming to Canada, she took Traditional Thai Massage course to gain the knowledge to take care of her family and friends exclusively. They really love Thai Massage, so does Thana. She really loves to receive and gives the good massage to alleviate the pain and relaxation. While she takes care of her family, Thana is always very interested in how to heal the body.

In Canada, she always seeks for Thai Massage Therapy for herself and her family. Unfortunately, there are limited number of Registered Massage Therapists who can provide the decent Traditional Thai Massage, especially Authentic and Therapeutic massage.  “Why don’t I become a Registered Massage Therapist myself?” Thana thought to herself since she had extensive Hand-on experience. Therefore, it was in her intention and plan to pursue her career in massage therapy.  When the family time permitted, she decided to attend the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH) in Toronto to earn her massage therapy diploma. It was not an easy course at all. She took her extreme effort to study the Anatomy, Science, Pathologies and all related materials in other different languages. With her strong determination and hard-working, Thana graduated the massage therapy diploma with honour and successfully passed the nerve-wrecking board exam.

~ Then she has been registered as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT). ~

She has extensive hands-on experience by working at various clinics and settings. She is confident to amalgamate Thai Massage techniques with the fundamental of Massage therapy on human body. With her decent deep pressure, she has been successful in healing many cases and received grateful appreciation and good review from her clients.

Thana has her strong intention to promote Thai enriched culture. She has profound know-how in Thai Food, Thai Dance, Thai Dress and definitely Thai Massage. Furthermore, she took a course in Thailand to become a Certified Thai Massage Instructor.

For Traditional Thai Massage, the acupressure will be applied on the body over the clothes. The pressure may include the therapist’s weight. She may kneel, step, walk on the clients where it is necessary and within each client’s pain tolerance. Thana will make sure that her clients are comfortable in receiving her massage so she usually instructs them to coordinate with their breathing to receive the utmost benefits of massage pressure. She focuses on pain relief, essential assisted stretching as well as providing self-care exercise or stretching. She also follows up with each of them in the next appointment. Thana believes that massage therapy is an important component to maintaining a healthy balanced lifestyle. It can range from an acute injury, muscle stiffness, injury prevention, or ongoing stress management. Thana’s clientele is all-age group, seniors, athletes, pregnancies as well as small children.

She will provide appropriate assessment before each treatment to form the treatment plan to achieve the goal in each treatment in order to improve overall health and wellness. Thana can apply a variety of the most effective modalities and techniques that indicate for specific conditions. Although Therapeutic Thai massage is Thana’s primary practice, she also can provide General Swedish massage, Deep Tissue, Prenatal & Postpartum, Child, Tok Sen Lanna (Line-Tapping Massage), Foot Reflexology, Lymphatic drainage, etc.
